About this event

The same student. The same setback. Two instructors. Two very different messages.

Can a few words influence whether students give up or try again? An instructor's words can reinforce a Fixed Mindset , suggesting that abilities are limited, or foster a Growth Mindset , emphasizing that abilities can develop through effective strategies, practice, and support.

Through contrasting classroom scripts, interactive activities, and faculty discussions, this engaging mini-workshop for faculty and staff explores how Fixed and Growth Mindsets influence students' confidence, motivation, and willingness to embrace challenges.

Participants will learn to recognize fixed-mindset messages, reframe them into growth-oriented statements, and apply practical strategies that encourage students to learn from setbacks, persist through challenges, and reach their potential.

Register today and discover how small changes in our words can make a meaningful difference in student learning and success!
