About this event
The Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation Gala is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 6:30 PM at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. All baseball fans are welcome to attend.
The foundation will be presenting the 2026 Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award toDaniel Jackson of the University of Georgia. Daniel hit 32 home runs and batted .379 for the Bulldogs last year and was the first-round draft choice of the Colorado Rockies. He then hit .309 in Class A ball with Fresno, so as a catcher, he may well be a future major league star.
The first Bragan Collegiate Slugger Legends Award will go to former Texas Ranger Pete Incaviglia. Some of you may recall that in 1985, while playing for Oklahoma State University, Incaviglia hit 48 home runs and drove in 143 runs in just 75 games. He ended his career at Oklahoma State with an NCAA-record 100 home runs. There could hardly be a more fitting recipient of our inaugural Legends Collegiate Slugger Award than Pete Incavigilia.
Also committed to attend the Gala are former Rangers Jeff Russell, Delino DeShields Jr., Chris Michalak, and Curtis Wilkerson.
There will be ample opportunities for autographs, so please purchase Gala tickets and come and mix and mingle with Inky and the other former Rangers.
The Bragan Foundation was founded in 1991 by Bobby Bragan, one of the namesakes of our Banks-Bragan SABR Chapter. Its primary purpose is to award college scholarships to eighth-graders, which they redeem when they go to college or trade school five years later. By attending you will be supporting a very good cause and will enjoy a great baseball evening.
