Talk Title : When the AI lifecycle becomes a Learning Health System cycle: Building clinical AI infrastructure in Australia
Talk Brief : The Learning Health System cycle is well-established as a framework for developing, implementing, and iterating on clinical interventions. But when the intervention is an AI model designed for continuous operation rather than one-off discovery, the cycle becomes complex. In this talk, I will reflect on designing AI models and data infrastructure to support retrospective surveillance across several hospitals in Melbourne, Australia. From EHR data extraction to deployment and monitoring, I will explore how the AI lifecycle maps onto the LHS cycle and where it diverges.
When : Thursday November 19, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Where : Hybrid event, Zoom and Hoblitzelle Building (G9.102)
CME credit is available for all attendees , and complimentary lunch will be provided for those joining us in person.
