One storyteller. A whole cast of characters. An evening of laughter and Japanese culture! Katsura Sunshine returns for his third Texas rakugo visit, with two performances at Big Laugh Comedy Club in downtown Fort Worth. Born in Toronto, Canada, Sunshine became an apprentice to Katsura Sanshi, now known as Katsura Bunshi VI, in 2008 and completed his training in 2011. He has delighted audiences worldwide and has performed at New York’s New World Stages since 2019. The featured story is “Shinigami — The God of Death.” The title may sound ominous, but come discover the humor, colorful characters, and unexpected turns of this traditional Japanese tale. Whether you are a longtime fan of Japanese culture or discovering rakugo for the first time, invite your friends and enjoy an autumn evening filled with laughter!
