Denton Braswell senior Macy Wingard was named Gatorade Texas Girls Cross Country Player of the Year on Jan.
21 after winning her third straight UIL 6A state title (16:45.7 in the 5,000-meter race). She maintained a 4.78 weighted GPA and committed to running at Brigham Young University.
