- ➤ Taco Bell submitted plans for a new restaurant at 1248 Hwy 114 in Justin — located next to McDonald’s and across from Gateway Church — with construction starting in July and finishing by the end of October on a 2,115 sqft project estimated at $1.35 million. The Cross Timbers Gazette
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Three Flower Mound High School seniors developed NeuroShield, a biomedical system that detects virus threats early, and advanced as regional ExploraVision winners. They will compete nationally, with bonds awarded at a ceremony on June 5. The Cross Timbers Gazette
- ➤ Tricia Lutkenhaus, who served as interim principal since February, is now the permanent principal of Northwest High School, announced by Northwest ISD Thursday morning. The district will choose a new principal for Barksdale Middle School at its April 13 board meeting in Northlake. The Cross Timbers Gazette
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ TxDOT will pour a new deck on the Main Street Bridge in Lewisville, closing FM 1171 from 8 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday. Northbound I-35E, southbound lanes at Valley Ridge and express lanes will be closed with detours posted, and delays may occur if weather delays work. The Cross Timbers Gazette
