Argyle ISD board of trustees approved a one-time retention bonus on Monday night to keep employees by awarding $1,000 to professional staff and $500 to paraprofessionals and auxiliary employees from extra revenue due to over-projected enrollment—bonus payments will be disbursed in May and recouped if a qualifying employee resigns before school starts on August 12. The board also announced a $423 million bond election for May 3 with early voting beginning April 22.

Treeline by Hillwood will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday at 11 a.m. at 11629 Canopy Trail in Justin—donating $5,000 to help the city keep its Tree City USA status while showcasing eight model homes, a green space lookout, and an augmented reality glimpse of the planned community.
