A charity art sale honoring late Kathryn Forehand will be held on Saturday at Wellington Activities Center.

The sale runs from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and benefits The Art Room Denton’s youth program Studio 416 (featuring award-winning art).

Denton ISD voters will hear Vicki Byrd and Greg Petolick at two Place 6 forums; one runs from 7 to 9 p.m. April 2 in the Board Room, and another starts from 6:30 p.m. April 15 at Denton High’s Fine Arts Center.

Voting is set for May 2.

Benjamin Beshay of Flower Mound High and Mark Eads of Denton Guyer High were selected among 89 top students worldwide to join the NYO2 summer program for a Carnegie Hall performance.

The concert, part of Carnegie Hall’s United in Sound festival, will take place on Thursday, July 30 at 7 p.m.

Crews will try again this weekend to pour the new bridge deck for the Main Street Bridge project in Lewisville — all lanes of I-35E from Valley Ridge Blvd. to Main Street/FM 1171 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday.

Flower Mound-based vocal trio Harmony Roads will perform the national anthem before the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship Fort Worth Regional at Dickies Arena on Saturday, March 28 at 11:30 a.m.; the three sisters have earned a following through major events and proudly showcase their Texas roots.
