- ➤ McAuliffe Elementary is hosting its 19th annual chili cook-off today with a parade starting at 4:45 p.m. from Briarhill Middle School and ending at the school parking lot where free chili tasting begins at 5 p.m.—the fundraiser aims to reach a $30,000 goal to support local schools and will also feature a helicopter pig drop at 5:45 p.m. with a chance to win $1,000, a car show, a silent auction, a cupcake contest, and live music from Movin’ Melvin Brown and the McAuliffe Dad Band.
