EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Argyle ISD approved a long-range plan on Wednesday, April 8 that adds intermediate schools to handle rapid growth; Michael Ball campus will now serve grades 5 and 6 from the 2027-28 school year while Scott Gibson Middle School is set to open in fall 2026 to balance enrollment. - ➤ Two local teachers from Lewisville and Plano ISDs were named March winners of the Teachers on the Rise program by Market Street and Mrs. Baird's Bread—honoring their teaching excellence; nominations for future winners can be submitted on TeachersOnTheRise.com. Flower Mound Leader
- ➤ Lewisville ISD has converted Mill Street Elementary to a new Pre-K center and named Curt Angeli as its first principal – residents can submit name ideas on the district website. The Cross Timbers Gazette
