EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ After two years of legal challenges, the TEA released 2023 school ratings for southern Denton County schools—Argyle ISD earned an A with a 91 score, Lewisville ISD and Northwest ISD earned B ratings with Flower Mound High School among those receiving an A, and Denton ISD earned a C. The agency said ratings for next school year will be issued in August—current reports are not available online due to an ongoing lawsuit. Family eGuide
- ➤ The Texas Senate voted Thursday to send a bill to Gov. Greg Abbott that would create a statewide private school voucher program allowing families to use taxpayer dollars for private school tuition—if signed, the program will begin with the 2026-27 school year.
