Blue Mound United Methodist Church will host the National Day of Prayer at the Denton County Administrative Courthouse on May 1 starting at 11:30 a.m. — the event will feature music by The Robby Wright Family and guest Tom Smith with prayer sessions beginning at noon and lasting until 1 p.m. — if weather forces the gathering indoors.

Flower Mound was honored today with the Governor’s Community Achievement Award for environmental stewardship and community improvement—its recognition came from a partnership with Keep Flower Mound Beautiful.

Grammy-winning musician Chris Tomlin will perform a private benefit concert for Young Life student ministries at The Village Church in Flower Mound on June 30.
