- ➤ At the April 21 Town Council meeting, Bartonville honored Shari Borth with the Mayor’s Award, celebrated mothers, and hosted Police Chief Jeff Ashabranner’s visit to Guidance Preparatory Academy on April 17. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Cook Children's Health warns that a social media trend encouraging kids to misuse Benadryl has led to more than 100 emergency visits in six months (one fatality) and a student taking 24 pills at Lake Dallas Middle School last Wednesday. Parents are urged to follow instructions and store medicine safely. The Cross Timbers Gazette
- ➤ The Town of Flower Mound is handing out free mosquito dunks to reduce bites and West Nile virus. Residents can pick up two dunks per household at Town Hall along FM 1171 Monday through Friday (with proof of residency) or purchase them at local stores if needed. The Cross Timbers Gazette

- ➤ Ariah Mitchell's clutch hit gave North Texas a walk-off win over UTSA on Wednesday in the American Conference softball tournament. The hit ended their late-season slide and kept the campaign alive during the opening day. Flower Mound Leader
