  • On March 17 at 9:04 a.m., an 18-year-old—Andrew Messiah Grimaldo—fired a weapon at a residence on Kingston Drive in Lewisville with the incident caught on a Ring camera; he was arrested in Mesquite on May 5 on a $10,000 bond for Deadly Conduct, and police are still seeking further information.  Family eGuide

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Congressman Brandon Gill and Senator Ted Cruz introduced the Foreign Influence Transparency and Accountability Act to penalize universities that fail to report foreign funding from nations like China, Russia, and Iran. The bill imposes a 300% excise tax on funds from adversarial countries, a 110% tax on unreported funding, and mandates biennial audits of 30 universities—actions that could lead to a 410% penalty for noncompliance.  Family eGuide
