- ➤ Eighth-grade student Connor Oney at Medlin Middle School became a published author when his short story 'The Apple' was printed by Young Writers USA in Stranger Sagas: Tales of the Fantastic. He held a book signing at his school where English teachers (Leann Shelley and Carrie Hatfield) received signed copies. The Cross Timbers Gazette
