  • Flower Mound Public Library will host Neon Nights: Summer Kickoff party tomorrow from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.) where residents can sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge themed 'Blast from the Past' to mark the library’s 40th anniversary and begin a summer of programs.  City of Flower Mound

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Early construction work began on the future Whataburger at 3201 Long Prairie Road—approved by town council in April 2023, making it Flower Mound’s first Whataburger location that will offer 24-hour service with two drive-thru lanes in a 3,335-square-foot space. Town economic development director Ray Watson said no construction timeline has been provided yet and that plans for a Slim Chickens restaurant and a Dutch Bros drive-thru coffee shop on the property remain under review.  Family eGuide
  • Curry Up Now will open a new Flower Mound location on June 7 and will give away 1,000 free burritos from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at (2717 Cross Timbers Road, Suite 400) while offering live music and a drawing for a year of free meals, and the restaurant will serve a menu of unique Indian fusion dishes every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.  Family eGuide

  • Daikerlyn Alejandra Gonzalez was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with the fatal jet ski hit and run near Oak Grove Park that killed 18 year old Ava Moore while she was kayaking on Lake Grapevine — law enforcement agencies including Texas Game Wardens and Grapevine Police coordinated her arrest after circulating a photo of her.  Family eGuide
