The Flower Mound Public Library will host the first session of Lights!

Cameras! Science! on June 12 at 2 p.m., where families will explore the science behind The Little Mermaid! using hands-on experiments. Future sessions on June 26, July 8, and July 22 will feature The Land Before Time, The Great Mouse Detective, and The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones, with registration opening one week before each event (3030 Broadmoor Ln.).

The Texas Department of Transportation delayed lane closures on I-35E in Lewisville by moving the overpass construction from today until early Monday to the weekend of June 14–16.

The project will affect southbound traffic using the Main Street exit and northbound traffic using the Fox Avenue exit.

Flower Mound Town Council approved the removal of two specimen trees near Lakeside Pkwy and Enterprise Drive for a new warehouse after the developer revised its plan to save only one tree—officials noted that additional trees will be preserved elsewhere on the site.

The decision passed with a 4-1 vote as local leaders aimed to follow the original environmental plan.
