The Shops at Highland Village is launching its two-month SUMMER VIBES series on Thursday in its new outdoor space — The Backyard — with an ice cream social event from 2 to 5 p.m. that offers complimentary treats for the first 75 guests; additional events include kids’ crafting on June 17 and July 15 from 10 to 11 a.m., a yoga session on June 21 from 8 to 9 a.m., a story time on July 2 from 10 to 11 a.m., a summer concert series on Thursdays in July starting July 10, and a backyard bash on July 24 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Flower Mound’s Communications Department earned two state awards from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers last week—one award for its 2024 State of the City video and a second for the FMFD Cribs video featuring the Flower Mound Fire Department.

The awards recognize the team’s strong work in keeping residents informed.
