F3 Lantana—a free men’s outdoor workout group meeting at the South Amenity Center’s Gazebo—added a Saturday 6:00 a.m. session to its regular Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 a.m. workouts to meet rising local demand for fitness and fellowship.

Commissioner Dianne Edmondson said that as our country nears 250 years, Flower Mound will mark the anniversary with events such as its Independence Day Children's Parade (10 a.m. on July 4 at Leonard and Helen Johns Park) and Independence Fest (5–10 p.m. at Bakersfield Park featuring guest Chris Janson). She urged local families to honor our nation's founding and build traditions for this patriotic milestone.

Northwest ISD trustees unanimously voted to name its first early childhood center after former superintendent Dr. David Hicks to honor his lifelong commitment to education—Dr. Hicks Early Childhood Center will open in August 2026 to serve pre-kindergarten students at a site off F.M. 156 south of Hillshire Drive and north of East Bonds Ranch Road.
