The Seniors in Motion Auxiliary will hold its annual Elite Chef Competition at Flower Mound Senior Center on June 19 from 5-8 p.m.—professional chefs from four senior communities will present dishes and the audience will vote on the best chef.

Tickets cost $30 and include appetizers, tasting dishes, dessert and adult beverages so proceeds will help fund Senior Center programs.

Flower Mound received top marks in Niche’s 2025 report card—recognizing its safe neighborhoods, good schools, and balanced lifestyle.

The ranking shows the town is well suited for families and individuals seeking quality living.

The City of Denton has implemented seasonal water restrictions for the summer—residents must water on assigned days based on their address and businesses on designated days to conserve water and prevent stricter limits.

These rules require checking irrigation systems and using efficient watering methods to protect the water supply during the hot days ahead.

Flower Mound’s Communications Department won an award for its social media work that keeps residents informed about local government activities, community events, and safety programs—highlighting its role in connecting the community.
