Denton County officials held a kickoff meeting with emergency managers, first responders + public information officers to plan strategies for public safety as above normal temperatures are expected this summer while discussing measures such as monitoring weather, opening cooling centers, and advising on heat illness symptoms.

The Carry the Load event drew a strong turnout from Harvest this past month as community members walked together to honor military, veterans, and first responders.

Harvest residents partnered with Building Homes for Heroes and will present a fourth mortgage-free home to U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major Gretchen Evans and retired Navy Chaplain Captain Bob Evans on September 11.
