- ➤ Police arrested 29-year-old Trestin Clyde Durante after he fled a traffic stop on Lantana Trail, crashed his white pickup into a tree—triggering a brief foot pursuit—and was taken to a hospital for injuries before being booked in Denton County Jail on charges of evading arrest, possessing more than four ounces of marijuana, and tampering with evidence. - ➤ Highland Village police officer David Harney felt severe shoulder pain that sent him to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital for emergency open-heart surgery—replacing his aortic root with a mechanical valve and repairing his artery—and he returned home after seven days. - ➤ Flower Mound Town Council approved several projects, including a $1.3 million sidewalk construction agreement on FM 407 & upgrades to parks and roads aimed at improving pedestrian access and local transit safety.
