Good morning, Flower Mound.

Construction is underway at Peters Colony Memorial Park next to the Library with work on the water wall, remembrance wall frames, and concrete trails underway — the park will feature a pavilion, children’s area, nature trails, and an original artwork once completed.

The Town is inviting local artists to submit qualifications for the artwork as part of the $100,000 project set to be finished later this year or early winter.

Amateur radio operators will gather at the Scout Troop 771 Barn tomorrow at 1 p.m. until Sunday at noon to show off their radios and practice emergency communications—new users can learn on-site while experts guide them and try to connect with the International Space Station—ensuring the event prepares the community for power outages and disasters.
