Restaurateur Marty Bryan reopened the historic Ranchman’s Ponder Steakhouse in early July, offering live music and an expanded menu in a 1903 building known for celebrity visits.
He plans to add a western themed saloon & more community spaces at the site.
🏛️ Government
The Fresh Water Supply District boards awarded a contract ($6.05 million) to Reeder Construction to build an 8,000 sqft facility on district property north of the Ferguson Courts pickleball complex on Rayzor Road, ending two decades of leasing.
Construction will begin in July and finish in July 2027.

Argyle native Grady Emerson is featured on Season 2 of The Prospect as he climbs to No. 1 in MLB Pipeline rankings ahead of tomorrow’s MLB Draft on Saturday, July 11.
The Fort Worth Christian standout—a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award—will attend UT unless selected early.
Marcus High School named pitching coach Danny Kelley head coach for the Marauders baseball team next season — he replaced Jeff Sherman following a strong interim run in which the team reached the state semifinals.
Kelley brings 10 years of coaching experience as Marcus prepares for the 2027 season.
