Memphis Lafferty—a Flower Mound teen who became a quadruple amputee after a severe illness—overcame his challenges through outdoor sports and his strong faith.

Now 19, he mentors others and will work as a hunting guide with Christian Outdoor Ministry, inspiring local youth.

Flower Mound High School promoted assistant baseball coach Ben Sartor to head coach on Thursday — he spent 11 years with the Jaguars — and he will lead the team after longtime coach Danny Wallace completed a 35-year career.
