Keep Flower Mound Beautiful is hosting a clean up at Grapevine Lake today from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. around North Park — Murell Park — and Twin Coves campground to remove litter from trails; cleaning supplies will be provided and trash bag donations are welcomed.

Flower Mound’s Rheudasil Park received a Merit Award from the Texas Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for its complete redesign that closed the park in 2021 and reopened it in August 2022 with updated features such as a lighted boardwalk, playground + basketball court.

Heavenly Crust Pizza in Flower Mound offers over 20 types of thin crust pizza along with salads, sides, desserts, and vegan and gluten free options.

Local owners Erik and Ronda Bauer host pizza making classes for kids ages 7 to 12 on Saturday mornings and donate half their profits to Christian charities.

Highland Village Parks and Rec Advisory Board member Hogan Heathington says serving on a city board has been rewarding and urges residents to join to give back to the community he grew up in.
