Since 2008, Rotary clubs have partnered with Boy Scout troops to offer a flag program that honors Betsy Ross’s legacy and boosts local patriotism—residents can order a flag for $60 for six displays or $100 for ten displays per year.

Flower Mound resident Debbie Sardone earned a spot on the Forbes 50 over 50 list released at the end of July by starting Buckets & Bows Maid Service from the trunk of her car.

Forbes honored her mainly for founding Cleaning for a Reason—helping more than 60,000 cancer patients with free cleanings since 2006.

Argyle ISD announced Tuesday that it will offer free and reduced-price meals for eligible students in the 2025-26 school year; families eligible for reduced-price meals will pay much less for breakfast & lunch.

Households already approved must update their applications while those not initially eligible can apply during the year to receive the new meal pricing.
