Hillwood has partnered with Taylor Sheridan’s SGS Studios and Paramount Pictures to build Texas’ largest TV studio at AllianceTexas — a 450,000 square foot campus where filming for the second season of Landman is underway.

The project is expected to create thousands of jobs and strengthen the local film industry.

The Texas Senate passed SB 8, introduced by Flower Mound Senator Tan Parker, to replace the STAAR test with three shorter assessments at the beginning, middle and end of the school year by a 22-6 vote.

If approved during the special session, the end-of-year STAAR test will continue until the 2027-2028 school year—each test set with fixed time limits and results reported within two business days.
