- ➤ On Friday, the Texas Education Agency released the 2025 A–F Accountability Ratings showing that Argyle ISD kept its A grade and Flower Mound High School maintained an A while several Lewisville campuses dropped and Denton ISD improved to a B. Twenty-four percent of districts improved and 15 percent declined—figures that help parents gauge school performance. The Cross Timbers Gazette
- ➤ The Texas Senate passed SB 8, introduced by Flower Mound Senator Tan Parker, to replace the STAAR test with three shorter assessments at the beginning, middle and end of the school year by a 22-6 vote. If approved during the special session, the end-of-year STAAR test will continue until the 2027-2028 school year—each test set with fixed time limits and results reported within two business days.
