- ➤ The Town is accepting applications for its annual Veterans Day Relay Run that will honor veterans as volunteer runners carry an American flag over 32 miles through town—applicants must apply by midnight on Sunday, Sept. 28. Chosen runners will attend a mandatory safety meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at the Community Activity Center and run on Tuesday, Nov. 11. City of Flower Mound
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Justin City Council voted unanimously last Thursday to call for a bond election that would fund $19 million in renovations for City Hall and its attached gymnasium in Old Town. If voters approve the bond on the November ballot, the project will be issued in 2027 and taxpayers will face a rate increase starting in 2028 — officials note the upgrades will address needs like the library and indoor gym space.
