The Boys & Girls Club opened its first permanent Denton County facility Friday morning in Lewisville at a converted fire station near local schools.
The 10,000 sqft center was gifted by the city and funded through donations from the RAO Foundation and the county, providing a safe space for children.

Liberty Christian School has named its football field Witten Family Field at Warrior Stadium in honor of former head coach Jason Witten, whose family helped strengthen the school community for over 15 years.
The change was announced on social media during Friday night's game against Midland Christian.

JETSET Pilates will open Saturday, Aug.
29 at The Highlands of Flower Mound shopping center at 6101 Long Prairie Road — local owners Chelsea Fiduccia and Matt Johns plan to offer inclusive 50-minute classes with 12 custom reformers.
