- ➤ The Flower Mound Redline Club, started by FMHS seniors, is hosting a charity car show this Saturday at Parker Square from 8-11 a.m.—raising funds and awareness for Mothers Against Drunk Driving while Morning Edition Cafe offers free coffee and donuts. The Cross Timbers Gazette
- ➤ Local nonprofit Love Thy Neighbor helps families in need by giving free clothing, baby items, pet beds, and food—Greg Rimling runs the clothing closet at New Beginnings Church, and many volunteers work every first and third Saturday to support the community. The Cross Timbers Gazette
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, the Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees voted to hold a special election to fill the At-Large Place 6 seat after Dr. Buddy Bonner resigned in July. The election will be on November 4 with candidates filing by September 3 at 5 p.m. + the new term will last until May 2027. The Cross Timbers Gazette
