Dorothy’s Dash 2025 is set to take place on Saturday, Nov.
8 at Bakersfield Park (1201 Duncan Ln.) to honor former Town employee Dorothy Walkup, a dedicated track athlete who battled Multiple Sclerosis. It is the last day to register before prices rise by $5 tomorrow and net proceeds will aid the Texas Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Denton County and the Area Agency on Aging are launching a free eight-week program called A Matter of Balance to help older adults reduce falls and build strength, with Tuesday sessions running from September 16 through November 4 at the American Legion Hall Senior Center + 629 Lakey St.
The Flower Mound Seniors in Motion Health Fair will take place on Sept.
12 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Senior Center (2701 W. Windsor Dr.) where adults 50 and older can receive free flu shots, hearing tests, and health screenings. SIMA partners with Encompass Health to offer vendors who will provide information on wellness, nutrition, caregiving, and senior housing.
