- ➤ The Chalk the Park art contest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Twin Coves Park – 5001 Wichita Trail, where participants are assigned a concrete square to create chalk art and win prizes in several categories with free chalk available for the first 75 registrants. - ➤ Denton County lowered its proposed property tax rate to $0.185938 in its fiscal year 2025—26 budget after a Sept 9 hearing at the Denton County Administrative Courthouse.
