- ➤ Moore Middle School named Draper as its new assistant principal—he brings over a decade of experience in education and the arts and served 12 years in Frisco ISD as fine arts coordinator for choir and visual arts. Flower Mound Leader
- ➤ Northwest ISD earned a Superior A rating for its financial integrity from the Texas Education Agency for the 23rd consecutive year — its teachers’ salaries make up 10% more of the staffing budget than the state average — and will present a report to the school board in October. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Flower Mound Town Council unanimously approved the fiscal year 2025-2026 budget at its September 16 meeting, keeping the tax rate steady at 38 cents per $100 valuation. The budget also increases the homestead exemption to the 20-percent maximum and will take effect on Oct-1. City of Flower Mound
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Dr. Zahorecz and Dr. Fleming purchased Rapid Med Urgent Care in 2022 to keep it locally owned and offer trusted care & Medicare coverage along with test and treatment services for Flower Mound families.
