Flower Mound’s Salad and Go will close today as part of a nationwide plan to strengthen the brand—leftover salad ingredients will be given away for free on Saturday.
The location, which opened in March 2024, is one of 41 stores scheduled for closure.
On Saturday, Sept 27, from noon to 2 p.m., local artist Beth Dilley will lead a workshop at the Community Activity Center (1200 Gerault Rd.) where participants 12 and older can create acrylic designs using a playful paint pouring and scrape art technique for a $5 fee.
Flower Mound Public Library is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by displaying books written by Hispanic authors from Sept.15 to Oct.15.
Visitors may check out the featured works during normal hours—this event honors the contributions of Hispanic Americans.
Copper Canyon is set to approve its fiscal year 2025 to 2026 budget by the end of September, keeping the same tax rate while home values rise so that any increase in property taxes comes from higher appraisals.
The town has cut spending by about $30,000 and plans projects such as drainage control, updating town ordinances, road repairs, and a new signal light at FM 407 (at the Vickery and Williams Ranch entry) with a replacement of the Estates Drive bridge in partnership with Denton County.

Dena Lock and Susan Brashear opened Canyon Falls Veterinary Hospital near Flower Mound four months ago at a family-owned clinic that offers a cat-only room, larger exam areas for dogs, and services like wellness, vaccinations, and surgery—designed to create a calming space for pets and their owners.
