- ➤ Flower Mound’s Heritage Springs Splash Pad (600 Spinks Rd.) and Canyon Falls Splash Pad (6425 Stonecrest Rd.) will close for the season on Sept. 30 and remain open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. until then. City of Flower Mound

- ➤ Little Joe’s Farmstead in Argyle opened in October 2024 in a remodeled building and serves elevated American food while its profits help families pay for child cancer treatments—owner Jim Reid's personal experience fuels the restaurant's mission and strong community support. The restaurant now operates Tuesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday and Monday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Cross Timbers Gazette
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ TxDOT in Denton County is asking for public input on its Outer Loop highway project, which will extend east into Collin County and south into Rockwall and Kaufman counties—this plan will form a larger regional loop. Flower Mound Leader

- ➤ Lewisville beat Marcus 33-28 in the Battle of the Axe rivalry when Tenel Hill scored his third fourth-quarter touchdown with 11 seconds left, helping his team overcome heavy penalties.
