- ➤ The Friends of the Flower Mound Public Library will host a book sale at the library’s Community Program Room at 3030 Broadmoor Ln. Today the sale runs from 5–7 p.m. with a $5 presale admission and will offer free entry on Oct.4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Oct.5 from 1 to 4 p.m.—only cash or checks will be accepted. - ➤ Honey Berry Pancakes and Cafe on FM 407 in Highland Village is closed indefinitely, as a sign on its door stated that it is no longer operating. The location, which opened in August, is part of WeEat Hospitality Group and has not provided further details. The Cross Timbers Gazette

- ➤ Copper Canyon town council improved its website and activated a new building inspector team to ease access to town services—efforts that include a planned Grand Committee Workshop to review ordinances and upcoming town and trail clean-up days before the next council meeting on Oct. 27.
