- ➤ State Senator Tan Parker said Texas Cyber Command will protect nearly 31 million Texans from cyber threats like frozen bank accounts and power outages. The agency will be headquartered in San Antonio—led by retired Navy Vice Admiral T.J. White and tasked with monitoring attacks and training cybersecurity experts. The Cross Timbers Gazette
- ➤ Flower Mound Town Council approved a revised Lakeside East development—featuring townhomes, offices, retail, and parkland designed to address traffic and density concerns voiced by residents. Flower Mound Leader
- ➤ At Flower Mound’s Town Council meeting last night, Mayor Moore proclaimed October as Substance Use and Misuse Prevention Month to raise awareness of challenges facing community families. The town’s Substance Abuse and Mental Health Task Force—whose work includes installing Narcan kits at 12 public facilities—will also spotlight Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 23 to 31. City of Flower Mound
- ➤ County Judge Andy Eads and Commissioner Dianne Edmondson announced that FM 407 at I-35W will get a 407 Micro-Breakout project that adds extra lanes under the bridge and extends turn lanes to ease traffic flow amid delays from utility relocations and TxDOT’s schedule.
