Board members noted the change would lead to constitutional and logistical issues for the district.

On Wednesday, Congressman Brandon Gill from Flower Mound introduced a bill that speeds up the deportation of violent criminals such as gang members and terrorists by expanding federal authority & closing a loophole in current law.

The proposed measure makes these individuals ineligible for asylum and requires that they be detained while their removal is processed.
