Flower Mound approved a $583K design contract today for a planned 40,000-sq-ft performing arts center at the River Walk—this contract will guide the next steps in designing the venue.

This October, local groups promote domestic violence awareness, bullying prevention, breast cancer support and the importance of reading, with services offered every 83 minutes by Denton County Friends of the Family—while a pink ribbon event at the Oct 14 Commissioners Court meeting invites residents to take part in the cause. Community leaders urge residents to volunteer and use these programs to help those in need.

Lewisville ISD is planning to close Mill Street Elementary after the school received F ratings for three consecutive years, and students will be reassigned to other campuses starting in the 2026—27 school year.

The district will accept public input via an online form and a hearing on Nov. 3 before finalizing the plan by Nov. 21.
