- ➤ Ono Hawaiian BBQ, a family-owned chain with over 115 restaurants in California and Arizona, announced Wednesday it will open 10 locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in early 2026 and bring made-to-order Hawaiian dishes to Texas. - ➤ On Monday, Oct. 27, teams of two to five adults will take part in an Adult Trivia Night at Flower Mound Public Library — 3030 Broadmoor Ln. — beginning at 7 p.m.; participants without a team will be grouped on site. City of Flower Mound
- ➤ Flower Mound celebrates Arts Month with family-friendly events that feature local talent. The Chalk the Park Art Contest begins Oct. 25 at Twin Coves Park—while the 11th Annual Art Party is scheduled at the Flower Mound Public Library in November. Flower Mound Leader
- ➤ Due to a risk of thunderstorms this weekend, the Diwali: Festival of Lights event — originally planned for this weekend — is postponed until November 1 and will be held at Gerault Park Fields from 3 to 9 p.m. The Denton County India Cultural Association said residents can expect the same fun, food, and activities on the new date — the schedule has been adjusted accordingly. - ➤ An in-school market opened at Peters Colony Elementary through a partnership between Lewisville ISD and the American Heart Association (aimed at boosting nutritional security). School officials said the market will give students easier access to healthy food choices. Flower Mound Leader

- ➤ A Houston-based developer will build a $5 billion master-planned community on 3,169 acres of former ranch land in southwest Denton.
