EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Northwest ISD is accepting name recommendations for its new high school and agricultural center until Sunday, Nov. 9 (nominations must follow guidelines honoring community contributions and local heritage). The new high school between North Riverside Drive and I-35W is set to open in August 2027 to ease crowding at nearby schools while the agricultural center in Haslet will also open in 2027 (a naming committee will review nominations before presenting recommendations to the board). - ➤ The Flower Mound girls cross country team is preparing to chase a sixth state championship in 2025—building on a record-setting run of five consecutive titles that set a state high at the 6A level.
