Flower Mound resident Tyler Donovan has turned his childhood love for plastic Army men into Real Plastic Heroes, a company that produces updated action figures modeled after eight U.S. veterans — including his former neighbor Manny Merrill — to honor real military service and offer kids a fresh way to play patriotically.

Rob Boles—known as the local snake whisperer—made a historic find of a Western Diamondback rattlesnake on Nov.

6 in southern Denton County after an Argyle homeowner called about a snake in their garage. He will submit details to iNaturalist and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and the University of Texas at Arlington will study the snake for research and education.
