- ➤ On Sept. 17, Governor Abbott signed House Bill 120, a law that expands career and technical education in public schools by tripling P-TECH funding and removing the $5 million cap on the Rural Pathway Excellence Partnership program+ it now lets high school students earn an associate degree while also counting JROTC toward CTE+ the law represents a $7 billion investment to help fill workforce gaps.
