The Shops at Highland Village will host the annual Our Village Glows event on Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., with a new tree lit at 6:30 p.m.—followed by live music, festive activities, carriage rides, and a raffle that benefits the Highland Village Women’s Club while the police launch their Stuff A Cruiser drive near Ben & Jerry’s.

Argyle ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the purchase of 50 acres along Hwy 377 north of Argyle Middle School for a future campus in the White Rock Farm Addition.

Board members noted local traffic and access concerns (and said planned improvements will address these issues) while emphasizing the urgency of securing land before scarcity worsens.

David Lloyd, known as the local water boy, started Lone Star Wellness Solutions three years ago to offer water filtration systems, air purifiers, and wellness products to homes in Flower Mound—he aims to help residents enjoy cleaner water and a healthier life.

As outdoor temperatures drop, homes with only 6 to 8 inches of insulation allow warm air to escape and cause uneven temperatures and higher heating bills.

Local expert Ron Strelke from Force Home Services advises that boosting attic insulation to the recommended R-38 (15 inches) can reduce energy costs by 15 to 20 percent.
