- ➤ Seventeen-year-old Lillian Duncan Bicheno from Argyle has advanced to the national Top 10 in BroadwayWorld’s Next on Stage singing competition with voting open through Wednesday. She now vies for a Top 5 spot that could secure her a trip to New York City & full scholarship to study musical theater. The Cross Timbers Gazette
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Byron Nelson High School principal Kara Lea Deardorff was named 2026 Texas High School Principal of the Year by The Texas Association of Secondary School Principals. She will receive the award at the TASSP Summer Workshop in June — marking 17 years at Northwest ISD. The Cross Timbers Gazette
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Local government officials met with community leaders last month to discuss enhancements in emergency services, dangerous buildings ordinance updates, and expanded career programs during Town Council, Mayors' Council and ISD luncheon meetings.
