Flurry’s Market and Provisions and local arborist 1-2-Tree have joined forces to sell locally sourced firewood to Flower Mound residents for the upcoming holiday season.

Partners say their effort uses quality oak (providing a warmer, longer burn) while supporting both businesses and the community.

Tickets are on sale for Taste of Flower Mound — held Friday, Feb.

6 from 6-8 p.m. at the Flower Mound Public Library — where residents can sample small bites from top local restaurants while supporting library programs.

Local artist Marisa Jean is featuring sculpted paintings on the Town Hall Art Display Wall (2121 Cross Timbers Rd.) from December until the end of January as she uses a palette knife with sand and gold leaf to shape textured waves, animals, and abstract forms that reflect her signature style.

On Tuesday, Lewisville ISD announced that Marlene Price (assistant principal since 2024) was promoted to principal at Bluebonnet Elementary in Flower Mound.

Price brings extensive experience from previous roles and will lead efforts to boost student performance and strengthen community ties.
