In Lewisville, Motor City Pizza was named Best Pizza Company in the Southwest on Monday when Pizza Today honored its growth & community engagement; owner Greg Tierney, who restarted the pizzeria as a ghost kitchen during COVID-19, said the recognition spotlights its Detroit-style pizza served from its brick-and-mortar.

Former Guyer quarterback Eli Stowers of Vanderbilt was awarded the John Mackey Award on Friday for outstanding play, tallying 769 yards + 4 touchdowns during the season.

Stowers’ award comes after he earned the Campbell Trophy and added to his recent accolades as he advances his legal studies at Vanderbilt.
