About this event
Praised for her “fearless virtuosity,” and “capacity for pure theatre and drama”, Laura Lootens has emerged as one of the most compelling classical guitarists of her generation - from a concert debut at the prestigious Amsterdam Concertgebouw to recognition as a Classic FM Rising Star. This season, she brings her Dreams & Caprices to stages across the United States.
In this recital, music by Chopin, Mertz, and Barrios meets the striking modernism of George Rochberg, moving from Romantic elegies and waltzes to intricate, virtuosic caprices. The guitar shifts from whispered intimacy to breathtaking virtuosity, opening up an entire world of colour and emotion.
Join us for an evening of exceptional classical guitar with one of the most exciting artists of her generation!
