Journey to the Hundred Acre Wood Wind #3

About this event

“Journey to the Hundred Acre Wood” is a program for the young and the young at heart, and features music inspired by children’s literature. The program takes its title from a piece on the program, Oliver Knussen’s Hums and Songs of Winnie-the-Pooh, and will also include The Town Musicians of Bremen, a “tale” by the Brothers Grimm, set to music by the late composer and Meadows emeritus faculty Simon Sargon, as well as Anthony Plog’s Animal Ditties. The MWE will welcome three special guests to the Hundred Acre Wood, soprano and Meadows alum Taylor Hendricks (soloist), Meadows faculty and alum Professor Leon Turner (narrator) and Meadows faculty Maestro Edward Cumming (narrator).
